Premium Deck Systems

Engineered Decks, Built Better.

From the first design conversation to the day the crew hands you the keys, every deck we build comes with a clear scope before work starts, a single point of contact through the build, and a finish that holds up against frost heave, summer sun, and a decade of everyday use. We measure every joist, every line of fascia, and every railing post twice before we cut once.

Our Promise

The Modern Deck Builder.

Craftsmanship Meets Climate

Every structure we build is sized for the seasons — sun-baked summers, heavy snow loads, freeze-thaw cycles. Materials, fasteners, and finishes are chosen for the long haul, not the showroom floor.

Design With Intention

Great outdoor spaces start before a single board is cut. We begin with how you actually live, where the morning sun lands, where the wind hits, what view is worth framing.

One Crew. One Promise.

From the design conversation to the final walk-through, the same team is on your project start to finish. The workmanship is warrantied for the life of the deck.

Questions

Decking, Answered.

Capped polymer or capped composite — which should I pick?+

Capped polymer is the premium tier — no wood, no organic filler, four-sided cap, the coolest underfoot, and best for pool surrounds, waterfront, and rooftops. Capped composite is the everyday tier — virgin and recycled polymers blended with wood flour, three- or four-sided cap, the closest real-wood look at a more accessible price. For most backyards either works; we walk through trade-offs during the consultation.

How does it hold up to scratches and stains?+

TimberTech boards carry a four-sided or three-sided protective cap that resists stains, scratches, mold, and mildew. The Advanced PVC line carries a 50-year fade and stain limited warranty. Sunscreen, wine, BBQ grease, pet accidents — all wipe up with mild soap and water.

Will it get too hot in the summer?+

All decking heats up in direct sun. TimberTech AZEK® boards stay cooler underfoot than many competitors, but the darker the color the hotter it will feel. For sunny patios with little shade we recommend lighter colors like Sea Salt Gray, Ashwood, or French White Oak.

What about a harsh Wisconsin winter?+

TimberTech boards are engineered to handle freeze-thaw cycles, salt, ice melt, and snow shovels. The cap layer resists moisture so the boards do not swell, warp, or split the way real wood does. Shoveling is fine — use plastic shovels and avoid metal blades on the surface.

What is the warranty?+

TimberTech Advanced PVC (capped polymer) carries a Lifetime Product Limited Warranty and a 50-Year Fade & Stain Limited Warranty. Composite tiers carry tier-specific warranties — your designer reviews the exact terms before the order is placed. Beyond the manufacturer coverage, ModernXscapes adds a 5-year labor warranty on installation — if anything fails because of how we built it, we come back and make it right.

How long does an install take?+

Most residential decks install in five to ten working days once the substructure is set and the boards are on site. Larger multi-level or wrap-around decks run longer. We sequence the install around weather windows.

Can I refinish or re-stain it later?+

TimberTech boards are designed never to need staining, sealing, or refinishing — the color is engineered into the cap layer. If a board is ever damaged, individual boards can be swapped without redoing the whole deck.

How is the slip resistance?+

TimberTech AZEK Advanced PVC offers up to 40% better traction than the leading composite competitor — wet or dry. It is a strong choice around pools, hot tubs, and any deck that gets rain or snowmelt.
